Alpha Chapter
Where it all began — 240 members strong, with the original ivy still climbing the front porch.
Collegiate sisters
180 chapters. One shared promise. Find the circle of women who will cheer the loudest at everything you do.
A glimpse of sisterhood across the country — from historic houses to brand-new colonies.
Recruitment
No secret handshakes to learn, no one to impress. Just conversations that get more real each day.
1
Meet every chapter in short, cheerful rotations. Come curious and comfortable.
2
See each chapter’s heart for service — including our children’s literacy mission.
3
Longer conversations, house tours, and the traditions that make each chapter home.
4
A meaningful closing ceremony, then the joyful chaos of Bid Day.
Dues vary by chapter and cover national fees, programming, and sisterhood events — most chapters range from $350–$650 per semester. Payment plans and need-based assistance are available everywhere; cost should never be the reason a woman can’t join.
Not at all. Most new members arrive knowing no one — recruitment is designed for exactly that. If you’d like, an alumna can send a letter of introduction on your behalf, but it’s never required.
Plan on one weekly chapter meeting plus one or two events — roughly 3–5 hours a week. Sisters are students first: study hours count, and officers work around exams, jobs and family needs.
Absolutely. Chapters welcome women of every class year, including transfers and non-traditional students. Many of our most devoted leaders joined as sophomores.
